“ENTROPY” - Lumiere Lighting Festival 2024

Runtime: November 7th - 10th, 2024, 5:30-9:30PM
Location: Vancouver Art Gallery (Nov 7), Bill Curtis Square (Nov 8-10)

ENTROPY is a work that explores the dynamic interplay between fire and water. Utilizing footage of natural disasters, this kaleidoscope projection illustrates how these elements influence and compete with each other. Showcasing and contrasting through unpredictability, beauty, and destructiveness.

Although relatively simple in design compared to some of my other work, this was my first time doing an art installation or any sort of public art. It was a very unique experience and opportunity to see the reactions of passerbys and have my art displayed in the heart of Yaletown was unforgettable.

Special thanks to:
Ana V - Festival Curator
Jon Loehr - Site Manager
All the behind-the-scenes crew and staff that made this possible!

Footage recorded from inside projection design program. The final product had 2 versions: one (above) with a water focus, another with a fire focus.
